Madison Elle Beer from Long Island, New York was an early music lover. She started posting videos in 2012 that featured herself singing songs that are popular. In the space of a few months pop idol Justin Bieber came across her rendition of Etta James' "At Last" and shared it with more than 25 million of his Twitter followers. The publicity led to the signing of a record deal at Island Records, and then a management agreement with Bieber's manager. Beer also landed a small part in Louder Than Words, starring David Duchovny, and it was screened at the 2013 festival. The debut single she released, the poppy, melismatic "Melodies," also saw its release in the middle of the year.Beer's vocals began appearing on songs by other artists like Cody Simpson's "Valentine" and 2015's club track "I Willn't Let You Walk Away" by Mako. In 2018 she released her own debut album, "As She Pleases". "Home with You" reached the Top 30 in Norway while the EP topped half of the Billboard 200. Beer released the single "Hurts Like Hell" with Offset in the same year.
