Amanda Brugel
Pointe Claire lies in that quiet part of Montreal's West Island. There is a West Island, which is commonly referred to as being an independent "island" that lies west of Montreal by people who are not familiar with it, in reality includes everything west of Lachine. Amanda Brugel was born there and that's the truth. The only thing is that she visited for a few days. Brugel began her life in Courtice outside of Oshawa. She hoped to be an instructor in her first year but because of the speed of growth, she outgrew dance partners. According to an article from the Toronto Star, she confessed, "In heels I am 6'1 inches tall." After I grew beyond the male dancers I was working with, I decided to quit. Many ex-dancers switch to acting. As in Brugel's case, she was encouraged by the drama teacher at her the high school. The teacher was the one who recommended her to audition to play the character of Anne in their annual school production. It was the teacher who suggested that she audition for a character in the annual school production. In the end, she was chosen to play Anne of Green Gables. She was awarded an Fine Arts Talent scholarship at York University, where she studied Theatre and received the Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts in 2000.
